• Diagnostic guidance
• Treatment protocols
• A substitute for professional medical judgment

Our services involve the visual design of presentations based on content provided by or directed by the Client. We are a design service, not a healthcare provider or medical advisory service.

2. No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Use of our services does not create a doctor-patient relationship, healthcare provider relationship, or any clinical advisory relationship between Lucid Med and any individual, including the Client, the Client's patients, or any audience member viewing a presentation designed by Lucid Med.

3. Clinical Content Verification

3.1 Client Responsibility

The Client is solely responsible for verifying the medical accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and completeness of all content in presentations designed by Lucid Med before presenting, publishing, or distributing them.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Verifying all drug names, dosages, and interactions
• Confirming all diagnostic criteria and clinical guidelines are current
• Ensuring all statistics and data are accurate and properly sourced
• Reviewing all treatment algorithms for clinical accuracy
• Confirming all references and citations are correct and current
• Ensuring content aligns with current evidence-based medical practice
• Verifying compliance with institutional, local, and national clinical guidelines

3.2 Our Process

While we make reasonable efforts to present information accurately based on the materials and instructions provided by the Client, we:

• Do not independently verify all medical claims or clinical data
• Do not guarantee the accuracy of medical content derived from AI-assisted extraction tools
• Do not confirm that treatment protocols are current or appropriate for specific patient populations
• Do not validate that referenced guidelines have not been updated or superseded

Our review process focuses on design quality, formatting, and consistency rather than independent clinical verification.

3.3 Limitations of AI-Assisted Content

Some elements of our workflow involve AI-assisted tools for content extraction and organization. While these tools are helpful for efficiency, AI-generated content may:

• Contain errors or inaccuracies
• Reflect outdated information
• Misinterpret complex medical concepts
• Omit important nuances or caveats

All AI-assisted outputs are reviewed by our team, but this review is not equivalent to peer review or clinical expert review. The Client must independently verify all content.

4. Not for Direct Patient Care

Presentations designed by Lucid Med are intended for educational settings such as:

• Grand Rounds presentations
• Journal Club discussions
• Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) conferences
• Academic lectures and seminars
• Medical education conferences
• Residency and fellowship training
• Professional development activities

Our presentations are not intended to be used as:

• Clinical decision-making tools at the point of care
• Patient education materials without independent clinical review
• Clinical protocols or standard operating procedures
• Substitutes for clinical guidelines published by recognized medical organizations
• Legal or regulatory compliance documents

5. Patient Information

5.1 De-Identification Requirement

All clinical cases, patient scenarios, and medical examples included in presentations must be fully de-identified before submission to Lucid Med. The Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with:

• HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations in the United States
• Applicable patient privacy laws in their jurisdiction
• Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements
• Institutional privacy and confidentiality policies

5.2 Our Role

Lucid Med does not verify whether clinical cases have been properly de-identified. We rely on the Client's representation that all uploaded materials comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations.

6. Professional Standards

6.1 Practice of Medicine

Nothing in our services should be interpreted as the practice of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or any other healthcare profession. We do not:

• Diagnose medical conditions
• Prescribe treatments
• Recommend specific clinical interventions
• Provide second opinions on patient care
• Interpret laboratory results, imaging, or clinical findings

6.2 Standard of Care

Presentations designed by Lucid Med do not represent or establish any standard of care. Clinical decisions should always be based on:

• Individual patient assessment by qualified healthcare providers
• Current evidence-based clinical guidelines from recognized medical organizations
• Institutional protocols and policies
• Professional clinical judgment

7. Third-Party Content

Our presentations may reference or cite:

• Published research articles and medical journals
• Clinical practice guidelines from medical organizations
• Medical textbooks and reference materials
• Publicly available medical data and statistics

We do not own this third-party content and are not responsible for its accuracy or currency. All third-party content is used for educational purposes and is cited appropriately. The Client should verify all referenced sources.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Liability for Clinical Outcomes

Lucid Med shall not be liable for any clinical outcomes, patient care decisions, medical errors, adverse events, or any other consequences resulting from the use of presentations designed by Lucid Med.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Harm to patients resulting from inaccurate information in a presentation
• Clinical decisions made based on content in a presentation
• Misinterpretation of data or guidelines presented in a Lucid Med-designed presentation
• Errors in drug names, dosages, or treatment protocols

8.2 Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lucid Med, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

• Clinical use of presentations designed by Lucid Med
• Inaccuracies in content provided by the Client
• Failure of the Client to verify clinical content before use
• Inclusion of Protected Health Information in materials provided to Lucid Med
• Any violation of patient privacy laws or regulations

9. Regulatory Compliance

Lucid Med is not a regulated medical device, medical software, or clinical decision support system. Our service is not subject to FDA regulation, CE marking, or equivalent regulatory frameworks.

Our presentations are informational and educational tools. They are not intended to meet the regulatory requirements of any medical device or clinical software classification.

10. Updates to Medical Information

Medical knowledge evolves continuously. Information that is accurate at the time of presentation creation may become outdated as new research is published, guidelines are updated, or clinical practices change.

We do not update previously delivered presentations to reflect new medical evidence or guideline changes. The Client is responsible for ensuring that presentations remain current and accurate at the time of use.

11. Acknowledgment

By using Lucid Med's services, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. You have read and understood this Medical Disclaimer.
2. You understand that Lucid Med is a design service, not a medical advisory service.
3. You accept full responsibility for verifying the medical accuracy of all content in your presentation.
4. You will not use presentations designed by Lucid Med for direct patient care without independent clinical review.
5. You will de-identify all patient information before submitting materials to Lucid Med.
6. You will not hold Lucid Med liable for any clinical outcomes resulting from the use of our presentations.
